Location: Shell Scotford - Fort Saskatchewan, AB

Position: Project-based / Full-Time

Work Schedule: Pre-Turnaround - 4 on and 3 off, working 10 hours per day / Turnaround - 6 on and 1 off, working 12 hours per day

Reporting to: Manager, Quality

Shift: Day Shift - 2 / Night Shift - 2

Positions Available: 4

Position Closing Date: January 31, 2025

Job Purpose

The Site Quality Administrator plays a crucial role in ensuring adherence to our defined quality standards while providing support to the onsite quality team on the Shell Scotford Project Site.

Responsibilities

  • Displays a commitment to Waiward’s incident-free vision, values, and culture.
  • Performs printing and scanning into quality drive job folders.
  • Organizes file database for accessibility that is understood by Waiward employees.
  • Updates project logs as the project progresses and changes are made to the project.
  • Assists the Manager, Quality, in the development of weekly dashboarding KPI spreadsheets.
  • Attends all Quality meetings and documents the minutes for future review and documentation.
  • Books meeting as required for Quality Leads and Manager, Quality.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of Project turnover packages.
  • Works with Quality Inspector(s) to meet customer quality documentation requirements.
  • Transfers and receives turnover packages to and from client.
  • Assists with the onboarding of Welders.
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, or relevant experience and/or training.
  • Onsite experience within the Construction and Maintenance Industry is an asset.
  • Experience with the knowledge of CSA standards W47.1, W59, W178.1, W178.2, B31.3 is preferred.
  • Positive attitude, resourceful, motivated, and willing to learn.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – written and verbal.
  • Is proficient with typing and reporting meeting minutes.
  • Must have a good understanding of Microsoft Office - Forms, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Power Automate.
  • Attention to detail and ability to analyze data.
  • Must have CSTS 2020 and hold valid certifications for site access/work being performed.
  • Must complete a pre-access Alcohol and Drug test prior to accessing site.
  • Class 5 Driver's License and a clear and current driver's abstract is required.

 

Working Conditions

 

The incumbent is required to work in an office environment on site with little to moderate noise and small spaces on the Shell Scotford Project Site. The job may require the incumbent to walk stairs; be outside in inclement weather (slippery surfaces and cold); carrying objects, driving, and being exposed to normal office routines while on the project site. 

 

Physical Requirements

The incumbent is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal for extended periods of time; and extensive reading. The incumbent is also required to stand and sit for extended periods of time.
