Position: Permanent / Full-Time

Positions Available: Night Shift - 1

Job Purpose

The Tool Crib Attendant is responsible for receiving, storing, maintaining and issuing supplies and materials as needed to support fabrication and construction projects.

Responsibilities

  • Displays a commitment to Waiward’s incident-free vision, values, and culture.
  • Check for proper quantity and for damaged goods.
  • Maintain records, usually on computer.
  • Ensure adequate stock is available.
  • Compile purchase requisitions.
  • May be required to take inventory of stock and issue supplies.
  • Distribute tools and consumables.
  • Receive tools and equipment.
  • Repair small tools and equipment.
  • Attend weekly toolbox meetings.
  • Ensures that he wears the appropriate personal protective equipment at all times.
  • Maintains good housekeeping in work area.
  • Report personal injuries, no matter how minor, and obtain medical attention as required.
  • Consistently follow and encourage shop rules.
  • Willing to work overtime when needed.

Qualifications

  • Basic computer knowledge is required.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • FLHA Training.
  • WHMIS.

Working Conditions

The incumbent is required to work in the fabrication shop with moderate noise.

 

Physical Requirements

The incumbent is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: viewing specifications for extended periods of time and extensive reading. The incumbent is also required to stand and sit for extended periods of time and will require good physical attributes for walking on uneven ground, climbing, limited lifting and sitting.
